Will Russian technology that is leaking to Iran allow Tehran to develop submarines?

While Iran does wish to be a regional power, I'm not sure submarine technology is what they really want. High on their "wish list" is a supersonic missle that China is working on to take out carriers. The ability to sink an American battle group and control the Straights is a high priority with them, right alongside joining the nuclear club.
Submarines will never be "invisible" in the same way a stealth plane is to radar - there will always be anti-submarine technology available that Israel and others can deploy.

And a submarine is a platform for the nuclear club to use.
I also don't have any doubts about the technology coming out of Russia is; they have come up with some innovative things in the past
like a "flying boat".
China is in the business of copying everything; wonder how many ideas on their new fighter came from our F22.Last edited by sec-guy; 02-09-2013 at 08:48 AM. Reason: additional
