Anyone see the signal 88 be the boss episode on A&E? Looks like a good company and franchise opportunity.

Isn't that the company that makes the applicant pay for their own background check?

I read that Signal88 is a franchise. They let anyone buy a franchise and they dont even require them to have any type of LE or security background. I heard one franchise in florida is run by a doctor lol

I have a difficult time believing that Signal 88 would provide a better product than long established companies such as ABSS and Securitas.

When you buy a franchise, the chief asset that you're buying is an established, well-known brand name. This would be one of the main reasons for buying a McDonald's franchise instead of starting up your own hamburger stand.
If you could buy a Securitas franchise, for instance, you'd be getting a recognized brand name. "Signal 88"? Not so much. And what's worse, they chose a very obscure reference from the alarm industry for the company name - one that's utterly unknown to the general public, and doesn't arouse the concept of "security" in the mind of the typical citizen when they see or hear it. They might just as easily think that it's the name of a telephone or cable company.
You do also get some vehicle graphics, but save your money. You can get vehicle graphics - custom - for a few hundred dollars.

Theres no way they could compete with ABSS,Securtias,GuardsMark,USSA,G4S.
Those major security companies could push massive volume on a level Signal 88 can't
compete or even match the quality and quantity. There managment structure and franchise
quality depends on who the franchisee is and what kind of background experience they have.

They were one of the bigger security employers in the Norfolk area of Virginia.
"Alright guys listen up, ya'll have probably heard this before, Jackson vs. Securiplex corporation; I am a private security officer, I have no State or governmental authority. I stand as an ordinary citizen. I have no right to; detain, interrogate or otherwise interfere with your personal property-... basically all that means is I'm a cop."-Officer Ernie
