Im looking to branch out and become a guard to pick up some extra cash. I havent found to much info out there about positions such as Guard/EMT. Im basicly trying fo find some people that are doing both work as an EMT and Guard to talk to and ask some questions. Ive called a few of the training centers for guards but i take what they say with a grain of salt assuming they just want me to fork out the money and take a class.
Im also interested in Nuclear Security Officer positions with Diablo Power Plant but cant really find much about the requirements or training thats involved with it.
Any help would be very much appriciated.

EMT And Secuity Guard Training?
You may want to look at your higher education system in California for EMT training. You probably have community college or something similar in your area. Find one nearby, pay the tuition, and take the class. As far as security training goes, many places I am familiar with are going to provide training to have you trained their way. You may even have better luck here posting your specific questions here on the forum. What training is it that you are most interested in? You might find training in firearm, but end up working somewhere that is unarmed.
As you start looking for jobs, think about where you might most want to work, Do you want to work contract security? Maybe you would prefer hospital, campus, or in house corporate security. I have done all of them and they can be quite different from one another.
I even know some people that volunteer at police/sheriff reserve units. That allows them to get some related training and some experience. The networking can be helpful, too. There is a good chance that at least some fellow reserves work as security officers at nearby hospitals, colleges, or corporations.
Good luck in your search!
