Default TSA equipment sits idle in warehouses

ABC did the story on the evening news tonight (Tues May 8). There was no in depth coverage of why this occurred; the full report will be released Wednesday May 9. I imagine part of it is the government procurement system; its isn't just a matter of airport X calling somewhere and saying, "Please send us this piece of security equipment."

Most of the equipment is beginning to hit down range (CONUS) and is finally operational, you know what they say tho,

    "Hurry up and wait",
