Security Guard Robbed While On Duty.

LA MESA — La Mesa police are looking for two men who robbed a security guard at knifepoint Friday night while he was on duty at a condominium complex.

Police said the incident happened shortly before 10 p.m. at the Parkway Point Condominium Complex off of Parkway Drive and Interstate 8.

The security guard was walking in the main driveway when one of the men held what the guard described as a hunting knife up to him and demanded his valuables. The guard gave him cash and his cell phone.

The suspects then ran west on Parkway Drive.

The armed suspect was described as a black man between the age of 30 and 40, 6-foot-2 and about 165 pounds and was wearing dark colored clothing. The security guard said the knife had an 8-inch blade that was jagged on one side.

The second suspect also was described as a black man around the same age but with a heavier build — about 6-foot and 235 pounds. He was wearing a black beanie, a gray hoodie and blue jeans.

Police are asking anyone with information on the case to call the La Mesa Police Department at (619) 667-1400.

    Rob me, I'm unarmed.

Oh, no the employer says. You don't need a gun. You don't need a baton. You don't need pepper spray. So hows come they need a security officer? Huh? Huh?
