TITLE: Physical Security Specialist

SUMMARY

This position will design, install and coordinate integrated security systems such as access control, alarm and camera systems. The work responsibilities will be carried out under a variety of conditions in various locations and occasionally with little supervision.

• Responsible for design and installation of technical security systems
• Project contractor selection, coordination and management
• Ongoing support and maintenance of security systems
• Continuous improvement of security systems
• Marketing of the capabilities of security systems and monitoring services
• Create support and end-user documentation for security systems



COMPETENCIES/ABILITIES

• 3+ years of experience designing / installing technical security systems (i.e. cameras, access control and intrusion systems)
• 3+ years of demonstrated IT support with basic networking fundamentals
• 3+ years of project management experience
• 2+ years of experience within a professional office environment
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project
• Detail-oriented individual with superior reading comprehension skills and a dedication to accuracy and thoroughness
• Self-directed and able to work independently
• Strong communication skills including verbal and writing skills
• High level of personal integrity and confidentiality




Work Experience / Skills Preferred

• 5+ years of experience designing / installing technical security systems (i.e. cameras, access control and intrusion systems)
• Knowledge of electrical systems
• Demonstrated experience with managing multiple projects

Education Required
• Bachelor Degree from an accredited University

Education Preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification

Willingness to travel 30% of the time
