Concealment Warning: Belt with hidden compartment

You can easily conceal a handcuff key, or a small knife or shank in that compartment. Most states allow security officers to search for weapons when you arrest. While you are conducting your search you might come across drugs or paraphenalia, in which case it is not admissable in court (depending on the state). When the police arrive, they may or may not give you the third degree that had you waited for them, they would of found it and been able to cite. Remind them that you want to go home at the end of the night as much as they do.

I'm wondering if a way around that, for those on vehicle based patrol, is to do your consented search or search incident to arrest in front of the dash cam.

The problem with that is if they have something on them they don't want you to find, they will not give consent. I can't tell you how many times i've found drugs when searching for weapons. Whether it's marijuana or cocaine, you still won. He loses, because whatever he had planned for the night just got screwed up by you. I understand he doesn't get the citation to go along with it, but he will think twice next time he encounters you or the property you protect.

Never been a problem for me. If I find something other than a weapon I leave it where it was found. The police always do a search when they arrive and then they find it.

So this is a retail line of clothing that has this concealment pocket? When I first looked at it, I thought it was a carrying strap, upon closer looks, I see its like a fabric fold in the shirt. Are you seeing more and more of these shirts popping up? Kinda ugly looking, bu tpeople will wear what they can!

Back to the search issue.........if I find paraphanalia or illicit substances (or anything other than weapons/stolen goods from my properties), I will put everything back in their pockets where they were, so that when PD arrives on property, they will do their own search, find whatever it is, and either cite and/or arrest them.
