Do any dealers, company owners or technicians who read this forum have any association with Electronics Line USA?
Do you buy their products?
Do they sell to end users, professionals in the electronic security trade, to distributors only, or all of the forgoing?
I tried to purchase some components from them over the last two days and instead of filling my request, I heard a load of fresh, warm, male bovine defecation from a saleman;
some crap about somebody in Curacao who purchases in these enormous amounts and that if the gear is to be used in the West Indies, this prospective buyer would have to go through the party in Curacao.
Gave us a break, mate!
Curacao sells vacations. Period!
Can somebody who really knows what is going on, explain?

I only have a little info, but I know that they do sell through dealers. I'm not sure if they ever go direct to the the end-user customer.
Is it possible that they have some exclusive reseller agreement in Curacao and the West Indies -- i.e, that they will not sell directly to you in West Indies because they have promised some sort of Curacao company the distributorship? Sometimes those types of protected territories do get arranged.
I think they're a decent company --- sounds like you got the wrong guy on the phone. I know I've met them before at tradeshows, and they seemed to be a pretty up-front company, but YMMV since I don't know your exact needs and situation. Give 'em a ring back... I think the U.S. office is in Colorado but maybe they are an Israeli-based company?
I found a list of their reps online:

Good luck,

P.S. You are a lucky man if you are installing security equipment in Curacao and other islands in the W.I.'s -- that's the kind of place most of us only dream to someday vacation, let alone get paid to live there!

Geoff,
Goodness! didn't realise so many days passed since I last checked so thanks for your reply.
The points you raise are reasonable. I have recent correspondence evidently from the boss at their US headquarters. I’ve posed some questions and am awaiting a response and will post an update.
Aside: - “Be careful what you wish for…..you might just get it all*".
Sure: Temperatures hovering around 80 degrees centigrade every day. Outdoors so bright you squint (or wear sun-glasses, I suppose), cooling downpours just about when you need them; it is disgusting!
But the same affable Mother Nature responsible for the above has been known to come calling at 2:00 AM round this time of year. It’s not the visit so much as the speed associated with it; 120 mph plus, if she's in a particularly furious mood.
(*Just pulling your leg on the first-line quote. In all things we give God thanks and praise.
I’m sure you and the family will make it down here sometime and enjoy yourselves).
