Maluco Tactical Training, an IACPO (International Association of Close Protection Officers) certified organization, is holding a one day edged weapons seminar on May 30th, in Vancouver, Canada.

The seminar is aimed at security professionals working in various fields where edged weapons may be in use. Through a combination of theoretical and practical exercises those who attend will learn the different aspects of edged weapons; common hiding places for them, how to recognize different attack patterns and estimate risks associated with them.

This seminar has been offered around the world to multiple law enforcement and security organizations, and now we are offering it to the public.

Upon completion of the seminar, attendees are awarded a certificate of completion and are added to our student database which can be used as a reference.

The price for the course is $130.00. We offer an early bird special price of $95.00 for those who sign up and pay before May 10th (a bonus T-shirt is also given to those who pay early).

We encourage anyone in the area to attend and sign up soon, space is limited. For more information you can contact us by email at info@malucotactical.com

Knives - knives - knives

Gents / Ladies - I just had to jump in here real quick.

Security personnel - beware of a knife - if a wielder knows how to use one - especially if trained in knife fighting. They are NOT a joke.

We used to train w/ Kelly Ward - and several others over the years - as well as train police. Set the cops on one side of the room - weapons holstered - and us on other side of room with just a knife. We with knives won every single time (we were all trained).

If these types of courses were to teach you anything - it would be to back off from a knife where you can have your weapon drawn with target in sight. Knives are NOT a joke.

Just wanted to give you food for thought. A good knife fighter would never bring a gun to a gun fight - especially if standing in front of you.
