Hi all,
I wasn't really sure where to post this topic, so mods if you want to move it, I won't complain. I have recently been searching for websites / organizations that I can join to further my networking and information gathering capabilities. I have stumbled upon to two websites that DHS supports. The first one is LLIS.gov or Lessons Learned Information Sharing. You can go to that url and find out how to apply for access to the site. It lists a bunch of after-action reviews, best practices and such in regards to responding to large incidents or disasters. Even some not so large incidents.

The other site that I recently joined is the HSIN.gov website or Homeland Security Information Network. This site is designed more to support current ongoing operations with updates like the daily FEMA Sitrep and DHS Opensource Information bulletin. As they put it, it is a collection point to disseminate relevant sensitive, although usually not classified information to people in government, public safety and the private sector.

Both sites require you to apply to them to gain access and both sites do a reference/background check before allowing you access. I have found good information that has helped me in job at both sites.

I just figured I would pass them along to those looking for ways to expand their network of contacts and information gathering.
