Battery/Solar Powered Digital Surveillance Cameras

Does anyone know of a vendor who makes a digital surveillance camera that operates on battery or solar power and takes .jpeg photos based on motion and records the pics on a flash card? I have some very remote locations where theft is occuring and a standard AC powered camera and dvr is out of the question.

I don't know of ones specifically designed with solar, but if the camera runs on 12-24 volts DC, then you can hook up a battery to the camera, and a solar charging array to the battery. A lot like how the "laptop/cellphone solar battery chargers" work. These average 300-1000 dollars, though.

The only problem with this is if someone destroys the camera somehow...in any way possible (knocks it down, spraypaints the lens housing, whatever) you won't know about it until it's too late.
