Hi All,

I'm just curious as to what type of training, certifications, etc, you need to be an executive protection specialist. I see a lot of "schools" online, however, judging by their website, they don't look too credible.

For Domestic Work, ITG, Kobitz or Oatman are the big three. They place the most students. For value added skill sets, Bosnan, Scotti.a few others. For refresher training, there are a lot of good, local people around, too many to mention. Check out the sticky thread at Tactical Forums.

ITG is credible. Please note that ITG is a seperate entity from The Steele Foundation.

In addition to going through these schools, usually a company or organization will put you through their own training and testing for their client.

I had understood that ESI-Lifeforce in Colorado was also a good EP school? They've been around a very long time.

wtf you have to go to school for this ? SecTrainer beat me to the punch. jasontaz the days of "see lightning, hear thunder" are gone for good. The jobs in the medical profession have changed in the last 20-years, light years from what they were just 5-years ago. You my young friend have much to learn.
I advise you to study this and like crafts as throughly as you can, then, and only then, will you be able to hold a candle to those professionals among us.
Enjoy the day,
Bill

You want to work, you have to go to school and shudder, more school is better, like a college degree helps. Also, if you ever have to write a report, get deposed or have to talk to the media, spelling is gud!
