GE Kalatel Cyberdome 18x, KTA-H4-H1C

:D I would love to hear your PROFESSIONAL opinions on the GE Kalatel Cyberdome. Does anyone work with this product?

They're ok. It's been a while, and the version I was using didn't have proportional panning and auto flip enabled (You had to call GE for a code), but I've heard that has been fixed. I would LIKE to have some sort of up the coax control, but overall it's a decent camera. Having problems?

Kalatel Cyberdomes are used in a number of our retail stores. The camera's themselves hold up very well and have the lowest replace
or repair rate of our systems.

My particular location in Alaska utilizes all Kalatel PTZ's and the five exterior models we use are great in the Cold Weather (-60 below last year).

As for Kalatel brand controlers? They are CRAP. They do not hold up
to everyday use.

We use Cyberdomes on some of our systems. They hold up pretty well. I do agree that the operator consoles could be better. The domes themselves are pretty sturdy for extreme use. Overall I would give them an 8 out of 10. It would be higher if they had coax control and the gears inside were a little heavier duty.
