Hi these days I'm solving a problem from my Thailand client. Unfortunetly our engineer still give no answer to me yet:
We produce DVR card since 1999 and have a good market for exporting. But these days I get a hot potato:
After upgrading the software, problems come with one item of our DVR card. The machine runs well in my place but the screen shakes in Thailand.
We checked his computer configuration and emailed a new driver, still no improvement. But the machine runs well with old software. Then where is the problems come?
Thanks in advance for any of your ideas.

Look at his hardware configuration more closely. If you can get it to work but he can't, the problem must be with his machine.
I would guess his graphics card is giving you an issue.
If that doesn't work, see if his machine is overheating. Recomend that the client clean any dust from the inside of the computer, and perhaps try replacing the fan.

Hi thanks for your reply.
The client uses the same card on the same machine. That is: the hardware never changes. The DVR card works well with old VGA card. But when he change the software to upgraded one, problems come. Image shakes when the system is in LAN.
The software runs well and have no problem after many testings. Our engineer thinks the problem might come from Thailand end. Or something need to improve on the software.
The difficult point is: We are in China and the software has no problem here. If we let the client send back the dvr cards for checking, they would still probably runs well in my place and the delivery charge is not cheap.

Did you try and see if the client's machine was overheating?

I agree a hot Video card will mess with the frame rates or worst. When my vid card went out I opened the case and used a 10 inch desk fan and that helped keep the card cooler.

Please excuse me- I do not mean to insult you- but did you check if was NTSC or PAL?
I'm sure that you did, but I want to eliminate possiblities.
