Greetings one and all .... I need some information on U.S. Security Associates.

I just spoke to a manager with that company. He offered me a job (over the phone) that will start in about a week. Apparently it is a new contract with a government entity. I was offered a job as an S/O and will be considered for the supervisor position (which of course means more money).

I am quite happy where I am at right now so I don't have an over-riding need to change security companies, however it would be for more money and he seems willing to alter the schedule to accommodate my family requirements. I have the weekend to make up my mind.

I have heard a little about this company but not much. I need to know if anyone has had dealings with U.S. Security Associates or if anyone works (or worked) for them. How do they treat employees? Do they promote from within? Are they reputable? Things like that.

I appreciate the information. Take care and stay safe all.

I work for them in Michigan, where they do business as Advance Security.

I don't know what to tell you, except I've been with them for over a year, and have yet to see anyone other than the guy who interviewed me, when they took over the contract from Securitas.

My site supervisor was with Securitas when I started working there, last April, then, in late May we were notified that Securitas lost the contract and Advance (US Security) would be taking over. With the job situation being what it is in Michigan, most of us decided to stay with the site, rather than with the company.

We changed our uniforms in June of last year. Half the people who stayed, lost money. I lost .25 an hour, another guy who's been there for a couple of years lost 1.25 an hour. We're pretty sure the supervisor got a raise, and one other person who was on their list to stay automatically didn't lose any money.

My personal opinion, I think they're all about service to the client, and screw the employees.

But that's just my opinion.
