Been around a long time. Division of Parker Corporate Services out of Bellingham (2009 Iron Street). Operate mostly in western WA along the I-5 corridor, but also around Spokane, Wenatchee, Pullman, Walla Walla, and some other populous areas.

The security personnel I've encountered haven't particularly impressed me one way or the other (good or bad), the uniforms were clean but pretty cheap-looking, and my impression has been that it's a "typical" security company. (As with so many security company Websites, the pictures look a lot better than the reality you see on the street.) Wages paid are typical also.

I believe they also operate under "Merchant Patrol Security", especially in eastern Washington.

Exactly who they have contracts with would be proprietary company information, but you see them in Safeway stores, other retail venues, and you can glean information from news stories to learn that they've had a contract with a port authority, etc. Again, pretty typical stuff. They do have a patrol service as well. They list EP among the typical "smorgasboard" of security services (patrol, stationary guards, alarm response, special events, yada-yada), but I am not aware that they specialize in EP, that it's a significant part of their business or that they enjoy any particular reputation in that domain. If this is what interests you, you would need to satisfy yourself in that regard by asking them some specific questions.

The other divisions of Parker include a janitorial service, an answering service, a temporary help agency, and maybe something else.

If you want to research them, search on all the names - Whatcom Security, Merchant Patrol Security and Parker Corporate Services. Get the names of principles in that search, and then search on those as well. You can also Google street addresses and phone numbers, which sometimes provides some further insights.

SUMMARY: Fairly run-of-the-mill security company, hitting the scale dead center at 5 on a scale of 0-10.

Thanks for the info! I was going to pick up some extra work from them, but I will re-think that.

I for one, have tried several times to get in touch with David (the LT) a few times by email to set up a time to meet with him (they are 1 hr+ drive north of me & I would need an appointment so I can plan accordingly), since my current work schedual doesnt allow me time to during the business day ( I work 12's graves in a production plant, but was both a State & Contractual Federal Armed officer & hold current armed license among other things), all I ever get is the exact same generic email reply, exactly 2 days later, telling me to contact him in person (required), he will interview me on the spot..uggg!
They do advertise a good wage for armed work and several premier positions which I am begining to doubt really exist for anyone walking in off the street to apply, in fact WSA has job listings up "everyday" on some job boards for a multitude of positions..from patrol to exclusive client spots all over western Wa... but thier actual hard copy application ask that you must agree to start at $9.hr, "part time" "on call" work with a bunch of other BS thrown in which leads one to believe this is where everyone will start off no matter past experience, quals or the job applied for.
You'd think if they wanted real high quality highly trained personel for thier more exclusive or armed jobs that they advertise daily for, they would have a better way to both recruit and means of applying specifically for those jobs then the standardized "janitorial services" application available at thier office in Everett or generic reply emails which seem to be the norm.
....so, sadly its very confusing trying to weed thru what is what, and what positions do or do not actually exist, and what the actual pay is for this job or that positions..since they are all over the map..even within the same job add from day to day..as much as $5 hr difference.
I'd love to talk directly to ANYONE actually working Currently for WSA, especially anyone in one of these better advertised spots...as it seems like a solid company that is in fact growing and the possibilities for a great paying gig seemed (at first) to be there...but Ive pretty much gave up trying with WSA after a month or more now of bouncing repeated emails & resumes back & forth with no result, since there is plenty of other work/co's that do seem to be hiring more then just warm bodies and seem to know the difference between the people needed to do either job..or at least how to recruit them.
