Intellex Online Training Courses

We recently added American Dynamics Intellex and Network Client online training courses in one of our websites. The idea was to have security professionals that are using Intellex and Network Client for their business to have a legitimate source of training available online all the time and allow to brush up on their knowledge for this product line. It also contains complete set of manuals, updates and hard to find information.

We are also targeting to add similar interactive online training courses available from other manufacturers covering DVRs, PTZ programming, etc. My extensive research has not produced a lot of info available for similar service for all security professionals. If there are other sites with similar service, please share with us.

CCTV Forum (http://cctvforum.com) is the best place I have found for discussions on cctv / video surveillance topics.

It's a very active forum covering dvrs, ip cameras, software, video analytics, system design etc.

Most people posting are technical so if you have a technical or product selection question, usually someone on there can offer good advice.

CCTV Forum (http://cctvforum.com) is the best place I have found for discussions on cctv / video surveillance topics.

Most people posting are technical so if you have a technical or product selection question, usually someone on there can offer good advice.

It is a good forum and they do cover a lot... However, they are very weak on high end equipment discussions.

It will be a great source of info.. "Intellex Only" section not only covers the training courses for Intellex, but also for Network Client. In addition, we posted all the manuals possible going back to version 2.4, updates (which change monthly) and discussions on setups, hardware and software questions, etc...

We are not trying to compete on forums... our version is private and mostly by invitation only... Dependent which category you participate, you may or may not be able to read posts from other sections of the forum... Intellex being what it is has a lot of info that public is not aware with all their features, etc. All we are doing is to bring all such info and training under one roof and allowing our members to brash up on their knowledge or find answers to their questions for this product line...

I am not sure how high end Intellex is these days.

That being said, I do agree that they tend to focus on more economy lines except for IP/megapixel cameras where they cover many of the high end lines - iqinvision, arecont, avigilon, axis, etc.

I am familiar with this above site... very well organized and covered many topics except... you have to pay for them... which if fine as long as you have the funds..

I am more focusing on training courses for products that do not cost anything except you time and willingness to learn.

Intellex product line is not a low end product..

The forum that you are referring is excellent in many ways, including their coverage of the IP based discussions. But once you start discussing systems from all the majors including but not limited to Bosch, Panasonic, Sanyo, American Dynamics, Pelco and others, you will find very few posts and most of which go to nowhere... but then again, that forum covers so broad range of topics that may not encourage user of high end equipment to get involved.

I do not think Intellex is low end.

However, I do think the 'majors' (Bosch, Panasonic, Sony) are now the legacy products and more mid-level than high end.

A consensus is emerging that the new high end is represented by Milestone, Genetec, DvTel, Verint, etc. Support for a wide range of IP/megapixel cameras and various video analytics are starting to define the high end. In this respect, the 'majors' are lagging.

In any event, this thread is not about high end so I apologize for belaboring it.

Our main focus right at the moment is everything Intellex depository of info, training courses, manuals, etc. If this works, then we will have similar section for Bosch, Panasonic, GE or any other high end or mid range recorders.

We are testing few ideas about the PTZ training courses.. and we will see what happens...
