A 50-year-old Myrtle Beach security guard told police he was jumped by someone near the property, a police report showed.
The man said he was patrolling about 10:30 p.m. July 3 at the Aquarius V located at 300 10th Ave. North, Myrtle Beach, when someone struck him from behind, the report showed. The man called some friends, who were in the area, and they found him lying in some bushes near an alley at the side of the property.
The man complained of a cut on his head and pain in his neck, the report showed. The man was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center and police learned he suffered a concussion.
The man said he was patrolling an alley on the northern side of the property because people often sleep near the hotel there. The man said as he passed a palm tree he was struck by someone, who ran away.
