Can anyone provide recommendations on gate callboxes and remote controllers for our residents? We are adding a security gate to our apartment community and need recommendations on companies and durable products and suggestions on how to create this kind of system. I would love to hear how you've done this, whether at apartments or at an office facility.

Door King makes ok equipment. There are some other hardware vendors that make good equipment.

Key is to select the "right" installer. Someone who knows what they are installing and can support if after installation when problems arise -- and they will.

Sentex systems also makes a good product. Very reliable and can be programmed via computer. http://www.sentexsystems.com/scw/products_series/0,4012,id-11,00.html

Hi

ERA Locca Multi uses the same cutting-edge technology as the Locca Access to unlock your doors with a single click, but with many added benefits.
And because up to 999 keys and 50 accounts can be set, it’s ideal for communal doors, individual flats in apartments and varying levels of security access in hotels or offices.
You can go for Remote Access (http://www.discountlocks.co.uk/Remote-Access-s/167.htm).

Keep Sharing...............

I have installed many DoorKing systems and they work well. As stated earlier however, there will be problems at times and you should use a reputable installer. For some reason there may be times when the access list gets corrupted and has to be re-downloaded. Overall I would give the DoorKing systems an 8 out of 10. Pretty good but nothing is perfect.
