View Full Version : Intellex Admin access
I've inherited an Intelex DVMS from the previous IT guy at my company.
Got it with no manuals or documentation.
From scouting about on the net I've found the default admin pin code is 1234.
On this system, the code only lets you into basic functions (viewing cameras, viewing recordings and burning recordings to CD).
Does anyone know how to reset the real admin pincode without me sitting entering all the combinations from 0000 to 9999?
Thanks

Try 0911.. and if this does not work, there is a solution to basically reset all the passwords... However, I rather not post "how" to do this on this post, as it is a confidential information... It is actually part of the Intellex platform, but the manufacturer prefers not to leave it available for general public... don't ask me why, but that is their preference...
If you are interested, please PM and I will let you know exactly how to reset all the passwords to default level...
Ta, but no joy.
I don't know why he locked it down so much. The room is restricted access. Only three of us can get in there and the other two didn't even know what it was, never mind how to work it.

I take it that the admin code did not work... Due to restrictions that I have from manufacturer not to post such information in the Internet (you know, once it is posted, it is there for good)... Please check you PM for more info.

We're security professionals, people pay us good money to be paranoid for them.
Thanks MetzLyov. I'll give that a go next week. Never a good idea to start messing about with things on a Friday.
CameraMan, shame I don't get paid good money like that. I'm the one picking up all the bits that no one else can understand.

My young friend, keep at it and soon you will be the "go to guy" for problem solving.
Enjoy the day,

Hey bud, what I sent to you via PM will work 100%... I am sure.. and if not, let me know.. and if you need anything else Intellex, I will help... advise, programming, setup or even parts...
Good luck and see how quickly you will become the main go to guy at your organization as soon as you get the Intellex working.:)

You understand, of course, that when I said "good money", I was being sarcastic.

CameraMan, no need to sound the least bit apologetic about being able to make good money in the security industry.
Many threads on this site deal with pay issues. Unfortunately, we usually read about those that struggle to make ends meet in our industry and not those whose segment may be more financially rewarding.

I know this is an old thread, HELLO to all, I am a new member. I have recently aquired an Intellex DVMS 16 camera setup and the PIN code was lost or forgotten. Can someone please PM me on how I can bypass or change the PIN code for Admin access to my own? Thanks A ton

The short answer is - exit to desktop and there is a utility that will allow you to reset your passwords as well as many other features of the Intellex...
