tell me this wouldn't be a fun place to work:

Something tells me it's probably an armed position.

Ok, armed security. :) But still, they have company cops. Why would they need both?

Maybe they don't call their security "police" for some reason?

They pretty much have to call them either "Company Police" or "Special Police." "Security" is reserved for non-sworn civilian security who have no inherent arrest authority in NC.

So, maybe they have armed security roaming the grounds, and use the "company police" designation for certain operators? Maybe they call the title 'Security Guard' for bookeeping and HR purposes, but the guy in the uniform is a "company cop"? Maybe someone should call them? Maybe you should delete some of your PM's so one would go through?

To be more precise, Blackwater USA is a private military contractor. They provide elite military, law enforcement, and security services. Anyone associated with them will be anything but "unarmed, observe and report."

I didn't look at the job link, but as I understand it, they only hire former military or law enforcement personnel for their positions.

True for most of their overseas positions. This is actually just for an armed officer at their headquarters facility.

Their ranges and training grounds are very, very cool...
