i found case law allowing us to detain for breach of peace. see edwards v.state 462 SO 52 d 581(fl;a 4th dca 1985) in which the florida court of appeals which upholds the right for a citizen to detain for breach of peace or felony.

Now, all we have to find is a case law or statutory definition of "breach of the peace." :)
