Don't talk trash about the Yugo.
Speed limits on Nevada interstates have been at 75 since we've been here (12 years now).
That means it only takes us an hour from home to the next small town in one direction; and hour and a half in another; and about four and a half in the third possible choice.
We don't even wanna discuss the drive in the fourth direction!

About the only negative of our Impala is the super duper motor. Tap of the accelartor and the car flies
I catch myself doing 75 MPH on Interstate 495, and the speed limit is 65 MPH.
5423: If the speed limit is posted at 75 MPH how fast are drivers going? 80-85 MPH?
Maybe am an old fart, but at some speed is too much

No, not around here... at least not for very long.
NHP'll usually allow you a couple over (maybe 77-78 mph) for a very few minutes - after all, nobody's accelerator foot is infallible, and they try to allow for that.
But you sure don't wanna test out driving from, say, Reno to Wendover at 80+. You won't make it. And I hear it's a pricey cite!
We do get a few speeders on the Interstates (my personal observation is that most are not NV locals); usually skiers or other vacationers. And by the time I do my daily 35 miles (one way) on the Interstate, I usually see 'em at the side of the road, in front of the blue lights...

It is not just the cost of the ticket, Addes surcharges to your car insurance. And surcharges here in Massachusetts?
ZM 88 will agree with me. My grand daughter will be paying any surcharges I may have on a speeding ticket 20 years from now
ZM 88: Caution on route 24 and Interstate 495 there is a State Trooper who hides under the bridges
I have had no problems, but let's just say she would give a ticket to our Lord and Saviour
I see her hiding under Interrstate 495. The old Impala winds down to 60 MPH

just wait til they switch over from those crown vics, and another trooper class is about to graduate? There'll be hiding from them on the highways now. What they really need is a half dozen of em posted on rt 1.
