SUMMARY
* Ensure appropriate protection of COMPANY personnel, information and property, both real and intellectual, through the implementation of corporate security policies, procedures, and standards for all COMPANY sites in the region.]
* Oversee proper security practices are implemented and followed at sites falling within area of responsibility through direct reports or contract personnel.
* Support the long-term strategy of COMPANY through effective advocacy with industry trade associations on matters of law enforcement/security related regulation and practice.
* Ensure implementation and compliance with the Responsible ® Care Security Code.
* Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to COMPANY management in the Southeast US region and for Executive Security and investigations.
* Provide expertise in security matters to all COMPANY facilities and operations as required, and to COMPANY customers and other business partners where required and appropriate.
* Conduct criminal and other special investigations as assigned by the Director, Corporate Security and/or at the request of executive level management.
* Act as law enforcement liaison within region to foster close-working relationship and information exchange.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide guidance and assistance to site security representatives to ensure COMPANY receives Best-Value in security operations by providing effective site security while being mindful of costs.
* Develop and foster readiness of site incident management plans in support of Corporation's Crisis Management Plan by working with sites in updating and modifying plans as necessary and ensuring appropriate training for plans.
* Conduct investigations into known or suspected acts of malfeasance, within or directed against the Corporation. Will collect and analyze evidence, interview parties, and present findings to senior management, Office of the General Counsel, and/or outside law enforcement authorities as determined by Counsel.

Subject Matter Expert (Security) to management in the eastern US and other corporate functions, facilities and business unit management. When requested, provides expert advice on security matters to customers, vendors and other business partners, in order to support both value chain security requirements, and to provide additional valued added to COMPANY products.
* Implementation and supervision of supply chain security in compliance with Responsible Care Security Code, Maritime Transportation Security Act, Custom Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) and Department of Transportation requirements.
* Implementation, supervision and execution of the Executive Security program for COMPANY Corporation
COMPETENCIES/ABILITIES
* BA/BS degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration or equivalent area of study.
* 8-10 years in the management of industrial security operations and services, acquired through progressively responsible positions in the field or suitable alternate experience.
* Expertise in a broad range of industrial security areas of concern, with special emphasis on chemical industry security, vulnerability assessment methodology, physical security, complex investigations, interviewing techniques, crisis management, executive protection, control of regulated products, supply chain security, international terrorist goals, methods, capabilities and limitations.
* Effective working knowledge of US law, regulatory agencies, law enforcement agencies and business culture.
* Experience in development of security policies and procedures as they pertain to the Caribbean and the East US region.
* Strong background in criminal and special investigations is essential with a record of conducting complex fraud investigations.
* Broad based professional knowledge of; security hardware, alarm and video surveillance systems; electronic security issues and safeguards.
* Working knowledge and experience in implementing a 'safeguarding proprietary information' program.
* Communication and contacts within government, law enforcement and industry trade groups.
* Working effectively with customers, suppliers and contractors to ensure effective security throughout the value chain.
* Excellent written and oral communications.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
* Ability to complete projects and assignments on time with minimal supervision.
