So my faithful and trusty PolyStinger is now bulbless, I dropped it one two many times and both the orginal and the spare bulb are no longer. So my question is do I spend $89.99 dollars on a Stinger LED DS light OR do I just go out and buy two new bulbs at $9.99 each? I am leaning towards doing both actually and keeping the PolyStinger as a reserve, but I already have 2 2D maglites, 2 2AA mini-maglites, a G2 with after-market LED and rechargeable batteries to use as a "back-up" light. So what would you do, just wondering is all.

That is the first thing I thought of.

While that would be nice to have at work, I would have to consider a new job the pay is nice, but not nice enough if I need firepower like that.

I was given a normal stinger as a duty light, I invested a LED stinger. I like the LED stinger. It has 4 different lighting choices. MAX - MED - LOW - Strobe

I like it, it was worth the cost. The normal stinger flashlight holder will NOT fit the LED

I was thinking the same thing. Who wouldn't want an upgraded stinger missile? Who cares if I need one, its just flat out cool :D

That is the first thing I thought of.

Leave it to a Marine... I guess the saying is true when it absolutely needs to be destroyed overnight send the Marines

Budget permitting... I'd opt for the upgraded Stinger, whilst $9.99 is relatively cheap the LED would outlast many, many, many, many incandescent bulbs, add to that the variable output would effectively allow you to extend operational periods between charging (should you need too) :D

Well I for one think that a stinger is over kill for security . Really if you can not get it done with a LAWs or an RPG-7 then you really need to consider a site change .

But really if the damage to the bulbs is user inflicted do you think that upgrading the whole light is going to stop you from breaking bulbs ? For the additional 60 your going to spend on the light you could get three more sets of bulbs . My advice is to spend the 20 , and stop abusing your light .
